GOSNOLD — Harbor Committee approved its $60,000 fiscal 2027 budget in a unanimous vote. Dockmaster Maddie Lynch reported 530 dock reservations and 630 mooring reservations for the 2026 season, with 25 requests waitlisted for peak dates in July and August. The Committee approved reallocation of budget line items to reflect that harbor commissioning work will be performed by town employees rather than outside contractors.

Lynch's expanded authority was enabled by her 270-day waiver approval from the Massachusetts Harbormaster Training Council, allowing her to act as Assistant Harbormaster while completing her Harbormaster training. The Marine Renewable Energy Collaborative will deploy an 18-inch wave-action data collection buoy in Vineyard Sound within the week.
