Gosnold Selectboard approves $45 water rate increase and schedules Special Town Meeting. Acting as Water Commissioners, the board voted unanimously to raise the first billing for FY 2026 to cover an operating budget of $129,705, with the possibility of reducing the second billing through reserves or identified cost savings. Town Manager John Laverty will research alternatives to a new $11,000-per-barge fuel fee from RM Packer effective July 1.
The board also scheduled a February 13 Special Town Meeting to seek approval for stabilization fund transfers to purchase a solid waste truck and relocate moorings.
